In May 2024, the project’s founder initiated an online fundraising effort to support LEAD’s esteemed partner, The Leprosy Mission Trust India. With the initial goal amount being INR 2,00,000, the fundraiser was able to resonate with a wide audience and reached a donation of INR 2,82,126 to aid the ongoing efforts at TLMTI and help them in improving access to treatment and care for leprosy patients in India.

LEAD’s founder, Taarah Chandiok, in order to provide an academic perspective to the work done by the social initiative, authored the research paper Leprosy: A Comprehensive Review of Epidemiology, Diagnosis & Public Health Challenges. The paper provides readers a detailed look into the factors that cause leprosy, its diagnosis, treatment, and what are some public health considerations and alterations that can be taken into account by authorities The paper was selected for publication in International Journal of Research and Review in June 2024.

The Documentary spearheaded by LEAD's founder Taarah Chandiok offers viewers a glimpse into the lives of Leprosy patients. Conceptualized, directed, and executed with utmost sensitivity, the goal of the film is to bring to light the stories of individuals who are fighting the disease. Each moment of the documentary dispels myths around the illness and also hopes to highlight the tremendous work being carried out by LEAD's partners The Leprosy Mission Trust India.
